Job Description for Field Technical Coordinator

Report to: Biomass Officer/District Partner Organisation (DPO) Coordinator
Responsible to: Biomass Officer/DPO Coordinator

Main tasks:

  • Coordinate with Key Implementation Partners/Partner staffs at village level in the districts assigned for facilitating ICS implementation through these partners.
  • Provide technical assistance and training support to the Partners and Promoters.
  • Monitoring of solar home systems as scheduled by solar energy component of AEPC / ESAP.
  • Supervise ICS Promoters in building ICS in the assigned district and in the no. of VDC’s on regular basis and as specified in the follow up guidelines and ensure the quality of the ICS installed.
  • Close coordination and arrange for sending identified LPO staff at nearest RRESC to take part in TOT organized by RRESC for ICS Partners/Promoters.
  • Report physically and financially to the RRESC so through District partner organization (DPO) on regular ICS Activities carried out including of the Partners.
  • Participate in the promoters meeting, monthly and the quarterly meeting in the district.
  • Participate and facilitate concluding the VDC need assessment and baseline study, Participate in annual review, impact monitoring and other ICS related activities as assigned by the Regional Coordinator.
  • Assist the Local Partner Organization (LPO) in organizing, mobilizing, awareness creation and motivation of community members to install ICS.
  • S/He should work under the guidance and in consultation with the DPO and will be entirely responsible for achieving the progress as outlined in the detail work plan for the Region/district and the assigned VDC’s.
  • Apart from above whenever required DPO may assign some other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Programme, for its successful completion.
  • Assist Regional Coordinator in preparing progress reports
  • Maintain MIS database of biomass energy component of the region.
  • Assist the Team Leader/coordinator as and when needed.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Regional Coordinator.

Qualifications and Experience

The Field Technician Coordinator should have SLC with 3 years of relevant work experience or successful completion of eight grade or above with technical training.
