Job Description for Biomass officer
Report to: Team Leader/Regional Coordinator (TL/RC)
Responsible to: Team Leader/Regional Coordinator (TL/RC)
Overall Purpose:
The Biomass officer is responsible to implement the RRESC activities of Biomass energy and specific activities solar energy component of AEPC/ESAP. The Biomass officer shall make sure that the targeted output of the agreed work plan is achieved. The Biomass officer is also responsible for representing the RRESC in various coordination meetings related to biomass and solar energy and report to TL/RC. Apart from these, networking and coordination with local bodies shall be the overall responsibility of the TL/RC.
Main Task:
The duties and responsibilities of the Biomass officer but are not limited to, the following:
- Overall responsible for planning, monitoring, and supervision of all Biomass Component and solar component activities.
- Conduct Baseline cum need assessment (New districts and VDC's).
- Prepare detailed ICS / BIOMASS dissemination strategy.
- Liaise with the biomass component with close coordination with TL/RC.
- Coordinate with local bodies, stakeholders, NGOs, and DPOs.
- Assist Regional Coordinator in work plan preparation of RRESC and DPOs .
- Assist DPOs on implementation annual work plan.
- Monitoring the activities of field technical coordinator and DPO activities
- Participate on local level meetings, DDCs plan formulation activities.
- Integrate RRESC plan activities in the DDC planning process.
- Provide training (Technical) to the Local partner organisation and promoters etc.
- Assist Regional Coordinator in preparing progress reports
- Maintain MIS database of biomass energy component of the region.
- Assist the Team Leader/coordinator as and when needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by Regional Coordinator.
Qualifications and Experience
The Biomass officer should have Bachelors Engineering degree with 3 years of relevant work experience.
